Mark Dever serves as the senior pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, DC. A Duke graduate, Dr. Dever holds a M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Th.M. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Ecclesiastical History from Cambridge University. He is the president of 9Marks Ministries and has taught at a number of seminaries. Dr. Dever has authored several books and articles, most recently, What is a Healthy Church? and The Gospel and Personal Evangelism (Crossway 2007). Earlier books include Nine Marks of a Healthy Church (Crossway 2000, 2004), The Deliberate Church (Crossway 2005), Promises Kept: The Message of the New Testament (Crossway 2005), and Promises Made: The Message of the Old Testament (Crossway 2006). He and his wife Connie live and minister with their son on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. |

Matt Chandler serves as lead pastor of The Village Church in Highland Village, TX. He describes his three-year tenure at The Village as a re-planting effort where he was involved in changing the theological and philosophical culture of the congregation. The church has witnessed a tremendous response growing from 160 people to over 3000. Alongside his current role as lead pastor, Matt is involved in church planting efforts both locally and internationally through The Village and various strategic partnerships. Prior to accepting the pastorate at The Village, Matt had a vibrant itinerant ministry for over ten years where he spoke to hundreds of thousands of people in America and abroad about the glory of God and beauty of Jesus. His greatest joy outside of Jesus is being married to Lauren and being a dad to their two children. |

Michael Oh is president and founder of the fastest growing seminary in Japan, Christ Bible Seminary in Nagoya. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Michael attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate where he also received his Master's degree in Education and his Ph.D. in Leadership and Cultural Anthropology. Dr. Oh received his seminary training at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he earned a Master of Divinity degree. In 1998-99 Michael and his wife Pearl served as short-term missionaries with Mission to the World during which time they planted Chita Zion Presbyterian Church. After that term Michael completed a Master's degree in East Asian Studies on a Regional Studies scholarship at Harvard University with a concentration in Japanese anthropology and sociology. Michael and his family moved back to Japan in January of 2004 before founding Christ Bible Seminary in April 2005. The seminary also includes a sizable new church plant, All Nations Fellowship, lay training, and a contemporary worship event for young people called Heart and Soul which is the largest regular meeting of young Christians in Nagoya. John Piper is Pastor for Preaching and Vision at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, and studied at Wheaton College, where he first sensed God’s call to enter the ministry. He went on to earn degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary (B.D.) and the University of Munich (D.Theol.). For six years he taught Biblical Studies at Bethel College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and in 1980 accepted the call to serve as pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Dr. Piper has written, among other books, Desiring God, Don’t Waste Your Life, God Is the Gospel, What Jesus Demands from the World, Spectacular Sins, and This Momentary Marriage. He is married to Noël and has four sons and a daughter. |
